The JGH Thalkirchen hostel we stayed in in Munich is now called th Youth Hostel Munich Park.
It was a clean and adequate hostel but had a very empty, cold and unhospitable feel about it that we had not experienced other places.
But, then again, we did not spend a lot of time here.
